Society Acquires Baldo's Shoe Repair Shop

 

Al and Marilyn Brown were instrumental in acquiring the contents of Dick Baldo's Show Repair Shop.  Present owners of the Shop were Robert and Theresa Aversa who graciously donated the machinery and other contents of the Shop.

With the help of Jr. Murray, Scott Bauer, Doug Smith, Tony Catalano, Alex Reed and Eric Johnson, the heavy cast iron machinery was edged onto the tilt bed truck supplies by Dan Stoltz and moved to the former BrownCo building for storage. The Society hopes to recreate the Shop in the Museum grounds.  There are several men in the area who know how to work the machinery and maybe someday we can offer demonstrations.
