October 27th, 2004 - The Historical Society will host the American Society of Quality at the Little Museum. The ASQ has over 300 members in the region. They are expecting a turnout of 20-40 people.  The attendees will be looking for examples of the importance of quality and craftsmanship in the artifacts at the Museum.

October 20th, 2004 - Annual Fall Dinner. Andy Kaul will be the guest speaker. His topic will be Collectable Paving Bricks and their related history.

October 12, 2004 - The Society receives notice that their application for a matching grant of $1000 has been approved! The grant was awarded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.  The grant matches funds received by the County Commissioners.

October 10, 2004 - The Museum had 31 visitors this weekend bringing the total to 869 for the year!

October 8, 2004 - Ninety-four people are signed up for the Fall Dinner! 

October 8, 2004 - Five members of the Historical Society were present at the Lumber Heritage Region Cameron County Committee meeting today.  The purpose of the meeting was to define 15 tourist related resources in Cameron County that will be included in the Lumber Heritage interpretation of the Region. The Little Museum will play an important role in representing Cameron County.

October 7, 2004 - Mike Wennin conducted a presentation to a group of 1st and 2nd Graders at the Elementary School. The presentation was a part of the Family Center's After School Excel Program. The children were shown a selection of items that included photos, toys and other items that represented life 100 years ago. The program resulted in one little girl bringing her Mom to the Museum the following Sunday! The children were very engaged in the program, asking a lot of questions, trying to understand life without a Game Boy or TV!  

October 2, 2004 - The Genealogy Club met at the Little Museum.

September 22, 2004 - West Creek Landscaping completes the new landscaping at the Little Museum.

September 20, 2004 - John & Mike removed the overgrown shrubs from three sides of the Museum in preparation for the new landscaping.

September 19th - The Little Museum escaped with no damage from the rains of hurricane Ivan! Even the cellar remained dry!

September 18 & 19th, 2004 - The Historical Society helped celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Presbyterian Church by displaying a collection of related articles from the Museum at the Church.

September 8, 2004 - The A. O. Austin House - Historical Society has loaned us the pen purported to have been used to sign Cameron County into being in 1860.  The Pen along with a copy of the Bill and a copy of the report to Gov. Packer spelling out the location of the County Seat and the location of the Court House will be on display until the end of the season.  Do not miss this exciting piece of Cameron County History!

September 6, 2004 - Little Museum was open on Labor Day and had 26 visitors, bringing the weekend total to 78 and the YTD total to 708!

September 5, 2004 - Fifty-two visitors to the Museum today!!  Brings our YTD total to 682!

September 4, 2004 - Genealogy Club Meeting - 1:00 PM at the Library

August 27, 2004 - Historical Society receives PEPPER Award from the Cameron County Educational Association - Public Education Partners & Promoters Award. The award was for the work the Society is doing with the schools this year.

August 14, 2004 - An exhibit of WWII items from the Little Museum was on display at the VFW banquet honoring WWII Veterans. The display covered 10 tables and was well received.

August 12, 2004 - The Board of Directors voted to join the Northwest Pennsylvania Great Outdoors, the tourist promotion agency responsible for bringing tourists into the area.  The Little Museum will get National attention in books, magazines and tourism kiosks promoted by this agency.

August 7, 2004 -Genealogy Club met.

August 1, 2004 - A visitor from Japan was at the Museum!  Attendance at 526.

July 28, 2004 - Mike Wennin to speak at the Rotary Club. Topic to be The Proximity Fuse used in WWII. Radio tubes used in this device were developed and manufactured at Sylvania.

July 25, 2004 - Twenty visitors today! Museum attendance reaches 500!

July 24, 2004 - Society donates a General Joe McNarney photo to the Eldred WWII Museum to start a working relationship with them. The goal is to attract some of their 10,000 annual visitors to the Little Museum.

July 18, 2004 - Thirty-two visitors visit the Museum - Attendance at 467. 

July 15, 2004 - Courthouse display changed. Display reflects the history of the Courthouse. Board of Directors Met. Dave Greene of the Lumber Heritage Commission was a guest.

July 14, 2004 - Twenty-five people visit the Museum in spite of severe storm!

July 10, 2004 - Genealogy Club Met. A discussion of techniques for reading hard to read tombstones is planned.

July 7, 2004 - Kids from the Sterling Run Playground visited the Museum today making the total attendance for the day of 19 people!

July 6, 2004 - A bull Elk was spotted in the playground behind the Museum!

July 4, 2004 - Forty people visited The Little Museum this holiday weekend bringing the YTD total to 367!

June 26, 2004 - Cameron County MSN Group, the Cameron County Fair Association and the Historical Society host a Community Day on the Museum grounds. Thirty -four people tour the Museum breaking the 300 mark for attendance.

June 25, 2004 - A collection of kitchen items placed on display at the Library.

June 13, 2004 - Thirty visitors at the Museum today. So far this year 243 people have visited The Little Museum!

June 5, 2004 - Genealogy Club Met 1:00 PM at the Library - Rained. Couple from Buffalo brought over 100 photos of Emporium taken from about 1900-1908. What a treat!  Also watched The History of St. Marks Church video.

June 1, 2004 - Two Hundred one visitors so far this year!

May 29, 2004 - Museum season begins.  Museum opened Saturday and Sunday 1-4 PM. Seventy Two visitors this weekend!

May 29, 2004 - Historical Society has display of school items and photos at the Alumni Banquet.  photos

May 25, 2004 - Society has display of school items in High School display cases. photos

May 24, 2004 - WWII Display featured at the Court House display case.

May 23, 2004 - So far this year 131 people have visited The Little Museum!

May 15, 2004 - Bucktail Memorial Service- Bucktail Monument, Driftwood, PA  11:30 AM.  Little Museum open afterwards. photos

May 13, 2004 - Society Board of Directors held an open monthly Board Meeting at the Courthouse.  Twelve members and guests attend.

May 1, 2004 -   The Genealogy Club of the Historical Society met.

April 30, 2004 - The entire third grade visited The Little Museum - Photos - Photos will also be on display at the Museum.

April 21, 2004 - Historical Society Spring Dinner - Photos

April 7, 2004 -   Society acquires Dick Baldo's Shoe Repair Shop - Photos

March 25, 2004 - Society Board of Directors hold an open monthly Board Meeting at the Courthouse.  Over 30 members and guests attend.

March 17th - Spring Issue of The Voice newsletter mailed out.
