This book was written in 1976 in celebration of the Nation's Bicentennial.  Ira interviewed many of the "Old Timers" of the day, gathering their recollections into an interesting and educational book.  The book reads as Ira talked which makes the stories come to life. Included are photos and maps that help tell the stories.

The book went into a second printing in 1984 and has been out of print ever since. A cache of these books were recently discovered which allows us to offer them today.
